Build it and they will come

Hi, I'm a drummer in the Elgin area. In my quest for playing music and having a great time doing it, I have put together a small informal space to JAM. I have a basic setup, including Amps., Mics. and a Mixer that should work for most musicians. It's not a large space, but it will accommodate 2 Guitars, a Bass, Keyboard, Small Percussion and even a Horn or two. All with Vocals too if desired. Plus drums, that's me. If you are a drummer or bring a drummer with you to participate, I'm happy share and can handle some of the Small Percussions.

There are a few regulars that I refer to as the house band to make up Royal T and the Quarantines. So if you're solo, we may be able to provide the missing pieces for a full sounding group. It's very informal.

We like Classic Rock and Blues genre. I'll play to most any good groove. Examples of music we've been playing are Tom Petty, SRV, AC/DC and Joe Bonamassa. But, there's no limit really.

Basement bar / music room atmosphere.

Friday or Saturday evenings from 7- 9 or 10 pm. It's not every weekend, but usually every-other weekend. This allows time to pass and get the music area cleaned up to remain virus free. We are COVID-19 free and wish to keep it that way. No kids, just 4 cats.

We are ALL fully vaccinated now.

Age group has been 40's to 60's. I am by no means a professional and NOT looking to form a band. This project is just for fun. If you're looking for a band or in between bands, and would just like a place to jam once in a while; this could be a fill-in opportunity to keep your playing polished. If you've been wanting to get out and play, but could use some practice or you're still slowly expanding your social bubble; this might be a great opportunity. If you have a song that you're working on and want to try it out with other musicians, this might be a great way to network and toss ideas around. Whether with the house band or you bring some of your friends/musicians, this could prove to be a great time for some creativity. This is NOT a recording studio but, I have some limited recording capabilities in Audio/Video and Audio only formats.

Remember, this is for fun. No one is getting paid or charged any money. I do this for the fun and enjoyment of making music with other musicians. No egos here and please don't bring one either. All you need to bring is a positive attitude and your instrument(s) and accessories. Let's see where this goes
